Optional Extras

All of our Dedicated Hosting Products can be further customised with these items, click each item for a more detailed description.

• Commerical OS (Windows 2003 or Red Hat EL5)

  Ubuntu Linux is provided free, however if you wish to install either of these Operating Systems on your server we can provide both the installation and the license for you.

• Managed Firewall

  Each server is installed behind our network routing and firewalling equipment providing defense from denial of service attacks; however for more specific firewalling capabilities like closing off ports, routing of ports, select our managed firewall solution.

• Additional RAM (per 512MB)

  Add more memory to the base server configuration.

• Additional Disk (per 20GB)

  Add more disk space to the base server configuration.

• Enterprise Managed Backup

  Our standard products include an image 'snapshot' of the server taken nightly, however if you wish to customise a backup solution, then Enterprise Managed Backup is ideal.

• Additional IP Addresses

  Three permanent IP addresses are included with every base server. Additional IP addresses are provided on request and are charged per month. The setup fee charged covers multiple IP addresses activated at the same time.

• Additional Bandwidth

  Add more traffic to the base server configuration.

• Server Cloning

  If you require a complete copy of the dedicated server, we can clone the server and even provide it as another dedicated server using the Casual DH Server optional extra (eg for a test environment of your system).

• Casual DH Server (per day)

  Can be used in conjunction with the Server Cloning optional extra to provide a test environment for your server.

• Snapshot Retrieval

  Your server has a snapshot taken each night, at your request we can return your server to the last snapshot.

• Physical to Virtual (P2V) Conversion

  If you have current Physical Hardware that you would like to migrate to our platform, this service allows us to take an image of current machine and install it on our platform.
