    China
    cn, com.cn, net.cn, org.cn Registration rules

    1. Effective on 10 February 2010 at 9:00am (GMT +8), registration is opened to all foreign multi-national entities with a branch office in China. Branch office refers to international companies, enterprises, and organizations establish within mainland China (PRC), a wholly owned or share controlling entity: including a branch, a subsidiary or a representative office which is having the same “name” as the parent entity. The local entity must register with the relevant Chinese authorities. For example, IBM should assign IBM China to register for ibm.cn

    2. Applicant has to submit the following documents to the Registrar for Registry's auditing purpose within 3 days from domain application date:
    a) completed domain application form with authorized signature and company seal/stamp;
    b) a copy of registrant's business license;
    c) a copy of registrant's certificate of organization code;
    d) If registrant does not have the certificate of organization code, a copy of the business licence will be sufficient. However, if registrant has a copy of the certificate of organization code and this document is not submitted, the application will not be accepted;
    e) a copy of signatory's proof of identity. Signatory must be a Chinese citizen with a valid PRC personal ID.

    3. If Registrant is not registered in China's MIIT ICP Recording system, domain name will be on "serverhold" status till Registrant is able to provide Registrar with the MIIT ICP Record Number. Domain status will then be changed to "ok" and be resolvable.

    Document Required

    Renewal rules

    1. Expired domain will be suspended for 30 days from domain expiration date. Registrant may renew the domain within this period.
    2. If expired domain is renewed within the next 15 days from domain expiration date, an additional reinstatement fee applies.
    3. Expired domain will be purged and made available for registration 45 days from domain expiration date.

    .CO is the country code TLD for Colombia. Colombia has made their name space available to any interested registrants, regardless of residency.

    The following restrictions apply to .CO domain names:

    • The name may contain only letters, numbers or hyphens. A hyphen may not begin or end a name, nor have two or more consecutive hyphens, in the 3rd and 4th positions. No other special characters are permitted.

    • The name must be at least 3 characters and no more than 63 characters, not including the TLD (or the second level domain).

    • Contains at least one letter ("a" to "z" or "A" to "Z") in standard US ASCII script.

    • Does not begin or end with a hyphen ("-").

    • Does not contain a hyphen ("-") in the 3rd and 4th positions.

    • Does not consist purely of digits.

    co.cr, cr, or.cr Registration Rules:

    1. Registration is opened to all business entities and individuals.
    2. Admin and Technical contact can be an organisation or individual.
    3. Registration requests will be denied by the registry when its use goes against the moral, public order and moral convention, in agreement with the effective legislation in Costa Rica. Domain names that include combinations of characters that are similar to generic words, that are considered of national interest, or domain names whose registry on the part of individual can generate confusion in the public will be reserved by the National Academy of Sciences.

    * In order to register a .DE domain name, either the Registrant (Owner) or the Administrative Contact must be based in Germany with a verifiable German address.
    * In order to activate a .DE domain, you must provide at least two functional nameservers; however, you may provide up to five nameservers per domain.

    Additionally, the two required nameservers must be active on two different subnets and must be authoritative for the domain name at the time of registration. If the name is registered and the nameservers are not active, the Registrant has thirty (30) days in which to activate and park the name on them. If the nameservers are not activated at the end of the 30-day period, DENIC deletes the name without refund.

    The nameservers associated with the domain name can be modified during the 30-day period, subject to DENIC verification. If the nameservers do not meet DENIC criteria, the change request is ignored.

    .de domains must be renewed prior to EXPIRY, otherwise DENIC will take control over the domain and transfer them away from the current registrar.

    Registration Rules:

    Registration Rules:
    1. The number of years requested plus the time of the remaining registration period cannot exceed 10 years. Any attempt to create a registration period longer than 10 years will be rejected.
    2. Expired domains can still be renewed within 30 days after domain expiration date. Renewal of expired domain after this 30-day period will incur an additional reinstatement fee.

    Transfer-In Rules:
    1. Domain transfer auth code is required.
    2. Transfer of domains from one registrar to another shall result in a one-year extension of the term of the domain name.
    3. Transfer of domain between registrars require 5 working days to complete.
    4. Expired domain cannot be transferred.

    Deletion Rules:
    1. Expired domains can still be renewed within the first 30-day grace period.
    2. Renewal of expired domain within the next 30-day of Redemption Grace Period will incur an additional reinstatement fee.
    3. Domain not restore/reinstated during the 30-day Redemption Grace Period will be placed in a Redemption Hold Period for 5 calendar days.
    While in Pending Delete status the domain cannot be restored and it will be deleted.

    The registration and expiration date of a reinstated domain would not change even if the domain name has already expired. When an expired domain is restored and renewed, the expire date will be extended by one year from the current expire date.

    it - Registrants MUST be located in the European Union.
    - "Individual" registrants must provide their place and date of birth, and either their code fiscale (if located in Italy) or any other personal ID number (if located elsewhere in the EU) in the SRS Order Notes.
    - "Organization" registrants must provide their VAT number in the SRS Order Notes. The admin contact must be a representative of the same organization.
    - Documentation signed by the admin contact required for all new registrations (LAR agreement) and transfers.
    - Registration terms begin anew at the completion of registrar and registrant transfers.
    - Domains that are not renewed are removed from SRS the day they expire. They still remain active at the registry, usually for several months. These names can be recovered by submitting a registrar-transfer order until deleted by registry.

    DNS Requirements:
    - The servers’ IP addresses must be static and correspond to those actually associated with them,
    - The first server must be the same as indicated in the Server of Authority (SOA) record of the domain name.
    - A CNAME must not be associated with the domain name.
    - The name of the server specified in the SOA cannot be a CNAME.

    jp Registration is opened to all business entities and individuals. Registrant must provide an address in Japan. In the absence of Japan address, TPP Internet can offer presence for free.

    Important Note About Payments

    The registry operator for .ES will accept multiple requests for a domain name and await payment from registrars and/or registrants. The requests are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and the registry then awaits payment.

    Each registration in the queue has 20 days to fulfill the payment obligation. If the payment obligation is not fulfilled in this timeframe, the order is cancelled and the next order has another 20 days.
